Research into Hussein Chalayan for my 'Sense of Place Project'. I find Chalayan a hugely influential designer, how he manages to use such innovated materials but keep his garments somewhat understated with chosen colourschemes and minimalistic shape inspires me. However what I admire the most is how Chayalan has such subtle femininity to his beautifully ugly garments, perfectly illustrated in his the 'Tangent Flows' collection where rather raw rusted and aged textiles were used with visible floral patterns underneath.
